Setting Website Preferences

The Preferences window allows you to configure settings for searching, viewing, and downloading. In addition to the Account page, you may also access the Preferences window by clicking the Preferences Navigation link.

The preference settings are grouped in different tabs:

• General Tab

  (Default tab) Use this tab to set your default landing page, time zone and other general preferences.

  

  Tips: Initial Media Type. AP Images performs all initial searches (the first search performed after logging on) against this selected media type. Theme. White is the website's default background color. However, GraphicsBank customers typically set the  background to Black.

• Search Tab

  Use this tab to change the default layout, sorting and other display characteristics of the search results.

  

  Tips: Search Terms. Select All to find all items that contain every keyword search term (Implied AND search). Select Any to find all items that contain at least one of the keyword search terms (Implied OR search). Initial Sort. AP Images sorts the search results by this selected preference (Newest, Oldest, Relevance, etc.) for all keyword searches.

• Preview Tab

  Use this tab to change the size and display characteristics of the Enlarged View.

  

• Download Tab

  Use this tab to specify the default file formats of your content.
