People waiting longer for marriage. File photo dated 28/08/2014 of a pair of wedding rings as there has been a dramatic drop in the number of people getting married under the age of 25 in the last half-century, according to new figures. Issue date: Thursday September 25, 2014. The Office of National Statistics (ONS) said 76\% of brides in England and Wales were under 25 years old in the years 1966 to 1970.
