40 years after Vietnam War - Historic sites

An archive picture, dated 16 July 2011, shows Vietnamese posing in front of a North Vietnamese tank at the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly named Saigon), South Vietnam. The tank was used to break through the wrought-iron gate on 30 April 1975. This ultimately led to the collapse of the South Vietnamese government, ended the Vietnam War and resulted in the reunification of Vietnam.
