TAIWAN QUAKE

Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau official Lu Pei-ling points to seismograph readings of a 6.7 magnitude earthquake that shook Taiwan, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Taipei, Taiwan. The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of between 6.7 and 7.2, was felt throughout Taiwan. It swayed buildings and knocked objects off the shelves in the capital, Taipei.
