APTOPIX Brazil Disarmament Campaign

Handguns, with their plastic and wooden parts removed, are seen on the back of a truck before being burnt during the first day of a national disarmament campaign in Volta Redonda, Brazil on May, Friday 6, 2011. About 2,000 firearms were burnt to kick start a national disarmament campaign. The metal obtained from those guns will be used to build items for the Tasso da Silveira public school in Rio de Janeiro where a man shot and killed 12 children on April 7, 2011.(AP Photo/Victor R.
