Animal Abuse Case

Animal Abuse Case

Alissa Parsons, a manager at Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, Florida, shows some love Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 to one of the 101 dogs that were recently rescued from the home of a couple in nearby Holmes County, Florida. The couple, who have been charged with felony animal abuse, surrendered all of the dogs to Alaqua Animal Refuge and refuge staff and volunteers picked them up Saturday. Parsons said that the healthier dogs will be ready for adoption in about a week, while others won't be available for at least a month. (Nathan Cobb/Northwest Florida Daily News via AP)
