Bats in the Wermsdorf Forest

21 August 2019, Saxony, Wermsdorf: The wings of a pug bat (Barbastella barbastellus) are measured in the Wermsdorfer Wald by a scientist of the specialist office "hochfrequent". The animal flew into a net before. The state enterprise Sachsenforst started a species protection project in cooperation with the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology. In the project, the native bat species are recorded and changes observed over long periods of time. Photo by: Sebastian Willnow/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images
