Cars 4 Heroes Colorado

Mandy Horvath and Travis Strong start their journey to the top of Pikes Peak with a race up the Manitou Incline in Manitou Springs, just outside of Colorado Springs, Colo., Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019. With "legless legends" printed on their t-shirts, they are climbing Pikes Peak to raise awareness and money for the Cars 4 Heroes, a non-profit that raises money to fix up donated cars for veterans. Horvath lost her leg in a railroad accident and Strong lost his legs in Iraq when his combat vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb. They expect to be finished late Sunday.
