Clearing of the landmines at Jesus' baptism site in Qasr al-Yahud

09 December 2018, Palestinian Territories, Jericho: An Israeli worker search for mines at the area of Qasr al-Yahud "Castle of the Jews", the third most holy site in Christianity that is believed to be the baptismal site of Jesus Christ. Clearing works held by the international anti-mine charity Halo Trust and Israeli authorities continue at the area to clear the landmines surrounding seven ancient churches that got abandoned since the 1967's six-day war, on the west bank of the River Jordan, south of Jericho.
