Evacuation practice at Kansai Airport in Osaka

The evacuation guidance training is held before the real typhoon season on the assumption that the passengers were shut inside the Kansai International Airport on July 18, 2019. About 180 staffs of the Kansai Airport and airline companies attended the drill by using Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. At the typhoon in last September, the runway was flooded, and the blackout occurred. The strong wind made a huge tanker collided with the connecting bridge, and about 8,000 people were temporarily isolated in the airport. ( The Yomiuri Shimbun via AP Images )
