31 May 2018, Germany, Leipzig:'A woman stands at the the installation 'Responsive Fabric' of Joshua von Hofen und Nils Nahrwold (Germany, 2016) that brings to life a seemingly static canvas at the exhibition 'Visible Sound' at the Kunstkraftwerk (lit. art power plant). The projection on the canvas can be manipulated and controled by touch, sounds are being produced and the object becomes an instrument. Artists from the Netherlands, Israel, Japan,'France, Germany, Italy and Mexico show works of contemporary international media based art, ranging from photography, through video art, to interactive audiovisual installations. The Kunstkraftwerk, which served as a cogeneration plant until 1992, became especially known for its immersive art projects with Germany's biggest video projection system.
