Harvey One Month Later

Harvey One Month Later

In this Sept. 26, 2017 photo, one month after Harvey made landfall in Texas and damaged thousands of homes, Houston resident Troy Randle is one of the more than 1,300 individuals in Texas who remain living in shelters. Randle, who is disabled and had been living in a Houston hotel for the last two years until it was flooded, says he feels like he hasn't moved forward since Harvey inundated Houston and is unsure what the future holds for him. When asked what his number one need is, Randle said, "I need housing." Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner says one of his main priorities post-Harvey is meeting the housing needs of people who lost their homes and places to live, especially senior citizens, disabled individuals and residents from low income communities.
