Leipzig veterinary congress begins

15 January 2020, Saxony, Leipzig: Veterinarians at the Small Animal Clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Leipzig are preparing an examination of sloth Oska from the Bernburg Zoo in a state-of-the-art spectral computer tomograph. With the new device, veterinarians are able to precisely treat the animal's jawbone disease, for example. High-tech for animals is a focal point of the 10th Leipzig Veterinary Congress, which will take place in Leipzig from 16 to 18 January. Photo by: Hendrik Schmidt/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images
