Oldest Sloth in the World in the Guinnes Book

18 October 2019, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle (Saale): Zoo director Dennis M'ller holds the official Guinnes World Records certificate next to the oldest sloth in the world, Paula, at Halle Zoo. The world's oldest known sloth, 50 years old, was recognized in time for World Sloth Day (19 October). The two-finger sloth lady has lived in the Bergzoo Halle (Saale) since 1971 and celebrated her birthday in June. According to the zoo, at the end of 2018 there were 65 sloths in Germany's zoos and 266 in Europe. Photo by: Jens B'ttner/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images
