Pete Townsend cautioned for downloading child pornography

(dpa files) - Pete Townsend, guitarist of the legendary British rockband 'The Who', performs during a concert in Frankfurt Main, Germany, 6 May 1997. Townsend said that he had contemplated suicide after confessing to downloading child pornography in an interview, published in the British newspaper 'The Observer', on 28 December 2003. The rock star was arrested last January after his name appeared on a list of people the FBI suspected of accessing a child pornography site. He was cautioned by police and his name was placed on the sex offenders' register after he admitted once using his credit card to access child pornography.
