Pro petition for a referendum on biodiversity

23 February 2019, Bavaria, Heilbronn: Isabella Hirsch, conventional farmer and supporter of the petition for a referendum on biodiversity, stands on one of her fields next to reeds - a habitat for biodiversity. The 52-year-old and her husband have given away all the animals, built photovoltaic collectors on the barn roofs and since then have only cultivated grassland. The sale of hay and silage accounts for about one third of the turnover, with a further third coming from electricity generation and the rental of holiday homes.
