Uji-cha-ladies nip off tea sprouts during Hachiju-hachiya, eighty-eighth day from the beginning of spring, event in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture on May 2, 2022. Ladies are in charge of promoting Uji-tea, Japanese green tea produced from Uji, Kyoto. Uji tea is considered one of the three best teas in Japan, along with Shizuoka tea and Sayama tea.
