Topping-out ceremony for modern paper mill

22 August 2019, Saxony-Anhalt, Sandersdorf-Brehna: Armin Willingmann (SPD), Economics Minister of Saxony-Anhalt, speaks on the construction site for the new Progroup AG paper mill. After a construction period of seven months, the company celebrates the topping-out ceremony for the ultra-modern plant in Saxony-Anhalt. Progroup is investing 465 million euros at the site. The heart of the factory with 150 new jobs will be a paper machine for the production of corrugated base paper. The plant is scheduled to go into operation in August 2020 and will have an annual capacity of 750,000 tons. The company is thus increasing its production of corrugated base paper from 1.1 million tonnes to around 1.85 million tonnes per year. Photo by: Hendrik Schmidt/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images
