Trumpf presents laser for lightning protection research project

12 December 2019, Bavaria, Unterf'hring: Thomas Metzger, technical director of Trumpf Scientific Lasers, prepares the various stages of the laser for the lightning protection research project. A European research consortium wants to use a laser developed in-house to extract lightning from thunderclouds in order to render them harmless.
