Some of the 86 Jewish refugees permitted to land in Willemstad, Curaco , ending months of despairing search for a home in Latin America on a truck, leaving the steamer Cabo De Hornos (background). The travel-weary group had been barred from South American countries for which they held visas. Until word came that Netherlands authorities had granted them Asylum pending transfer elsewhere, it appeared they would return to the old world aboard the Spanish vessel. Their trials and tribulations received the publicity. (AP Photo)
