Berlin Montgomery Eisenhower And Zhukov

The final chapter of the life of Hitler’s Third Reich came to an end when Allied leaders, meeting for the first time in Berlin signed an historic declaration on the defeat of Germany and the assumption of the Supreme Authority by the four major Allies. The four commanders, General Eisenhower, Field Marshal Montgomery, Marshall Zhukov and General De Tassigny met at Zhukov’s headquarters – the Concert Hall of a Berlin riverside club and placed their signatures to the historic pact. Marshal Georgy Zhukov, left, enjoys a joke with Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, right, and General Dwight Eisenhower after the signing of the historic pact, which took place in Zhukov’s headquarters in the city of Berlin, on June 6, 1945.
