World famous Duke Ellington, a great personality in the world of Jazz, got an enthusiastic success at the Conservatory of Milan, Feb. 21, 1963 where just about two thousand fans had enjoyed a wonderful night with his jazz concert. The Duke is spending his only stop in Italy of an European tournee undertaken with an orchestra composed by several authentic artists of Jazz such as Cootie Williams, Lawrence Brown, Johnny Hodges and Harry Carney who have participated to the Duke’s first European tournee thirty years ago.
