George Balanchine

Ballet Master George Balanchine, right, director of the New York City Ballet, has a reunion with his brother Andre at Airport of Moscow on Oct. 6, 1924. The two brothers had not met since they separated in 1918. George Balanchine left the Soviet Union in 1924. George Balanchine is in Moscow at the head of his troupe for a two-month tour of the Soviet Union under the Soviet-American cultural exchange program. Andre is a professor of music composition at the conservatory in Tiflis, capital of Georgia. He still uses the family name Balantchivadze. (AP Photo)
