WWII Britain Ships SS City of Benares

Three of six British children who were afloat eight days in an open boat in the Atlantic, rest in bed somewhere in England, Oct. 4, 1940. The youngsters were at sea eight days in an open lifeboat after their ship, the SS City of Benares, was torpedoed by a German submarine on Sept. 17.
