Scotland King George VI And Queen Elizabeth

The King opened the Empire exhibition here amid scenes of almost royal brilliance. The exhibition has drawn visitors from all party of the world. The King and Queen during their tour saw Mrs. Mary Morrison of Barra, in the Hebrides, who had flown to the exhibition, sitting at a spinning wheel wearing a plaid shawl and singing an old Scots Air. She demonstrated the working of the wheel to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, who shook hands with her and wished her “Good Luck,” at the Empire Exhibition in Bellahouston Park, near Glasgow, Scotland, on May 3, 1938.
