England Brooklands Kaye Don

Kaye Don driving in the Double Twelve Hour Race at Brooklands, England on May 9, 1930. The British double twelve hour race, by the Junior Car Club, started off of the Brooklands track at eight o'clock the and the record entry of 65 cars, representing most of the European countries of their 12-hour race round the famous racetrack. The race continues until 8 p.m., when the cars will be locked until the second half of the race begins. A special store of 10,000 gallons of petrol has been socked at Brooklands for this event.(AP Photo)
