Dizzy Dean Baseball Player Pitcher Action

The more famous of the two Dean Brothers, St. Louis Cardinal Hurlers, is seen bearing down against the Detroit Tigers in the first game of the World Series on Oct. 3, 1934 at Detroit. He, of course, is “Dizzy” Dean and he was snapped here as he held the Tigers scoreless in the 2nd inning, and went on to win the game 8-3. (AP Photo)
