Welfare Island Warden To Stand Trial 1934

Joseph A. McCann, left, who was relieved as warden of the Welfare Island Penitentiary in New York, following the recent prison vice and gang rule, leaves the District Attorney's office, after surrendering on an indictment charging him with neglect of duty, April 3, 1934.
