SPY JET RETURNS

FILE -- The nation's premier spy plane, the SR-71 Blackbird, shown in this Jan. 1990 file photo, has been brought out of retirement after six years because it flies so fast and high it can elude missiles over hotspots such as Bosnia. Justin Murphy, a sokesman for Lockheed, the plane's manufacturer, said Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1995, that Air Force crews training to fly the SR-71 had looked at potential routes over Bosnia. The Air Force refused to say whether SR-71s will be used in Bosnia. (AP Photo/Itsuo Inouye)
