Members of Commander Richard Byrd’s expedition to the South Pole now gathered at the Hotel Biltmore in New York August 13, 1928, are entertained during their spare moments by R.W. (“Ukulele Dick”) Konter who is scheduled to keep them in good humor all during the long months in the Antarctic as well as attend to his duties as Second Steward.
