Second Sino-Japanese War

This fifteen-year-old lad, laden with rifle, bayonet and hand grenades, in Chapei, China on Nov. 10, 1937, is typical of the thousands of such youngsters fighting in Chiang Kai Shek’s armies to defend their country. It is reported that these baby-faced boys are giving the Japanese some of the hardest fighting they have experienced in China. (AP Photo)
