King George V Lying In State

The long, never ending queue of pilgrims to Westminster Hall to pay homage to King George V, was still some two miles long in London, on Jan. 26, 1936. A general view of the ever growing multitude of pilgrims seen waiting patiently along the Albert Embankment, by St. Thomas’ Hospital. They are making their way towards Vauxhall Bridge, then along the Millbank to Westminster Hall. (AP Photo)
