Malcolm MacDonald, the Minister of Health, accepted part of a fleet of 260 fully equipped motorized ambulances, the gift of the American Ambulance of Great Britain. This magnificent gift to the Allied war effort was formally presented by Wallace B. Phillips, the director-general of the American Ambulance, at their headquarters at Grosvenor Gardens, London.
