Committee in Brandenburg state parliament meets on Tesla
25 January 2023, Brandenburg, Gr'nheide: New Model Y electric vehicles stand on the factory site of the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg by US electric carmaker Tesla, while a new road is paved in front of it. Tesla says it currently employs more than 7000 people at its Gr'nheide plant. On Jan. 25, 2023, a special meeting for the environment in the Brandenburg state parliament will be held in Potsdam on groundwater monitoring at Tesla's Gr'nheide plant. Tesla had successfully appealed to the state environmental agency against the requirement that the Strausberg-Erkner water board be involved in all groundwater-related issues. Critics fear that there is too little control. This had been rejected by the Environment Ministry and the Oder-Spree district. Photo by: Patrick Pleul/picture-alliance/dpa/AP Images
